(More customer reviews)Usually Farberware is a name that I can count on to be a solid middle of the road performer in the kitchen.But this can opener was a real disappointment.It is not that I expect something priced like this to be the last can opener I ever need to buy, but in less than a month, having opened between 5-10 cans, if that many, the point only pierced that final can with my husband's full strength.When he attempted to turn the handle, the blade was almost completely dull, leaving the can top looking like lacework, and the blade only stuttered with extreme effort.Halfway around, it gave up entirely, and was immediately relegated to the trash can.The parts had separated and bent out-of-true, making it useless.I feel this was poorly designed and constructed, and would suggest another choice, rather than face the age old dilemma, is the can half-open...or half-closed?
