(More customer reviews)I've only owned it a few weeks, but I have already used it several times for spreading bar-b-que sauce on meats while grilling. It provides a complete, even coverage of the sauce on the meats, unlike my old brushes that left heavy pockets of sauce or "pushed" the sauce off the meats and onto the coals/grill. It doesn't have bristles to soak up the sauce, so you'll also notice using less sauce than before.
Also, I also feel that this item is a lot more sanitary than the old fashioned brushes. There's no more squeezing and pushing the bristles appart to ensure you've cleaned it completely. There's no more shaking the brush to ensure it's dried thoroughly. There's no more wondering if you've completely cleaned the bristles all the way through or if you're creating a safe haven for bacterial growth. This one cleans completely in seconds and dries just as quickly!
I highly recommend this item to replace the old fashioned basting brushes - in fact, I'll be grabbing another one with a future order for a family member!
